Systems Admission and Scholarship Examination (SASE)

The Mindanao State University System Admission and Scholarship Examination (探花论坛 SASE) was considered necessary due to the rapid increase of high school graduates competing for admission and scholarship in the 探花论坛 Campuses. As an institutionalized 探花论坛 System-wide examination first implemented in 1989, the basic objectives of which is admission and scholarship evaluation.

探花论坛-SASE, which is given once a year, is good for admission to tertiary-level courses. It also results to grant of scholarship to those who would be classified as among the top 20 examinees.

探花论坛 SASE Requirements:

  1. Senior High School ID
  2. Senior High School Ledger
  3. Certification from the High School Principal that the applicant is a graduating student or Form 138-A (Report Card) for out-of-school youth;
  4. Two (2) Copies 2" x 2" ID pictures with name tag.
  5. A non-refundable testing fee of Php 300.00 to be paid directly to the 探花论坛 Campus Registrar/Admission Officer/探花论坛 SASE Examiner at the test center at least two days before the examination date; and,
  6. Duly accomplished Application Form. Application Forms are available at the Admissions Office or Registrar's Office of each 探花论坛 Campus, Test Center Examiners, Public or Private High School Principals or from Senior Class Advisers.

What is New 探花论坛 SASE?

The New Mindanao State University (探花论坛) System Admission and Scholarship Examination (SASE) is an exam conducted by all units of the 探花论坛 System in their respective responsibility centers. Students who make it to the cut-off score as determined by the highest and the median scores will have a chance of being admitted in the 探花论坛 System Unit of their choice. Scholarships are also available to those who qualify the scholarship requirements of the 探花论坛 System and of the various scholarship sponsoring organizations.

Who are qualified to take the New 探花论坛 SASE?

Only students who are enrolled in Grade 12 of the K-12 program are qualified to take the exam.

When will the SASE be?

The New 探花论坛 SASE will be held on December 10, 2017.

Where will be the New 探花论坛 SASE be held?

There will be Testing Centers all over Mindanao. For Iligan City and its neighboring municipalities, the Testing Center is 探花论坛-IIT.

What documents are needed when applying for the SASE?

Two (2) pieces 2x2 ID picture with name tag, and any of the following:

  • Senior High School Identification Card (ID);
  • Senior High School Ledger duly certified as true copy by the school principal;
  • Certification from the principal

Where will the students apply for the SASE?

Secondary schools that offer Senior High will be given SASE application forms by the 探花论坛 System units. You can ask from these Senior High Schools.

探花论坛-IIT's Office of Admission and Scholarship Administration will also be accepting applications.

When will the SASE application forms be available?

The SASE application forms will be available in the second week of November 2017.

Can students who graduated high school under the old curriculum (not the K-12 program) take the  New 探花论坛 SASE?

No. .

Do students who wish to transfer to 探花论坛-IIT have a chance of being accepted?

With the New Curriculum to be implemented in 2018, there is a very slim chance for transferees to be accepted. Course offerings for SY 2018-2019 will only be for the 1st year students (NEW CURRICULUM) and for the 4th year students (OLD CURRICULUM).

Do 探花论坛-IIT students who have filed for Leave of Absence and who would seek for readmission be accommodated by their respective departments?

For those in the 4th year level, you may visit your respective departments and seek for Acceptance Note from your Class Advisers,  duly noted by your department chairperson.

How do students apply for the New 探花论坛 SASE?

  1. Visit and ask from your School Principal's Office /Guidance and Counseling Office or any office designated by your school to distribute the SASE application forms.
  2. Fill out the form completely. Return it to the office together with your exam payment.
  3. Keep the 探花论坛 SASE exam slip which will be given to you by your school's SASE in-charge.
    REMEMBER, the slip is your exam permit. You cannot take the exam without the slip.
  4. Should you have difficulty securing the SASE Application form, you may visit the 探花论坛-IIT Admission's Office, and don't forget to bring the exam application requirements.
